Best gpu benchmark test3/18/2024 250Gb SSD with twinmotion loaded on it and writing the render to a separate 250gb SSD.Intel Core-i7 3930K 6 core, 12 thread, Water cooled,.If there is interest I can probably upload the twinmotion files so others can run it to add more scores. I have gone away and run the same render 1 minute full HD 60fps render on 3 computers to give an impression of what is to be expected. Is anyone else interested in this idea or just me? We just need a test scene and a defined render output that could be shared as a twinmotion file so as a community we can run it and compare results? Which is why I would be interested in actual benchmarks. Which shows the 1080ti with 9,353 points in passmark however the best gpu is surprisingly inside a CPU it is the Intel iris plus 655… Now either there is an anomaly in the data or the best gpu to render on is an igpu? Which means an Intel NUC with a i7-8559U for £550 performs better than a £1,0ti. The above page makes note that 6,000 points is required and links to PassMark Software - Video Card Benchmarks - GPU Compute Video Cards Is it worth having two cards as there is a very vague statement about that. So what is best raw performance is one question but what is best bang for the buck or if I have X card is it worth upgrading to Y card. Which is what you would expect but we all know things are not andas clear cut and spending more doesn’t always get you more in a linear fashion. There is information at Twinmotion which basically states a quadro or gtx 1080ti / 2080ti are best. Simply that I couldn’t find much information even owned by abvent the benchmark data was limited. I was wondering if there would be much interest in setting up a ‘benchmark’ tread, or feel free to point in the direction of one that already exists. First just a quick thanks to unreal for making Twinmotion free, I was just in the process of putting a business case together to buy twinmotion licences so now I don’t have to do that, yay!

The colour is Blue.Ħth 3RD EYE/Ajña - 221.23 Hz - The 3rd EYE tuning fork has the same frequency as the planet Venus. It is related to communication and growth through expression. It helps in spirituality and devotion.ĥth THROAT/Vishuddha - 141.27 Hz - The THROAT tuning fork has the same frequency as the planet Mercury. It helps in relaxation. Effective for immune system and circulation. The colour is Golden Yellow.Ĥth HEART/Anahata - 136.10 Hz (Cosmic OM) - The HEART tuning fork is tuned to the OM vibration and resonates to the Earth Year or the time it takes the Earth to rotate around the Sun, which is one year or 365 days. This fork helps in metabolic and digestive systems. The colour is Orange.ģrd SOLAR PLEXUS/Manipur - 126.22 Hz - The SOLAR PLEXUS tuning fork has the same frequency as our solar system's central star, the Sun. Also good for woman's cycles and for disturbances of the glandular and lymphathic systems. It is also considered to be related to, more generally, the genito-urinary system and the adrenals. This frequency stimulates sexual energy and supports erotic communication. It is effective on the pubic bone and coccyx.Ģnd SACRAL/Svadisthana - 210.42 Hz – This chakra is considered to correspond to the testes or the ovaries that produce the various sex hormones involved in the reproductive cycle. This tuning fork has the same frequency as the Synodic Moon, which is the time of the full moon. This centre is located in the region between the genitals and the anus. The ROOT fork has the same frequency as an Earth Day, which is 24 hours. The Swiss mathematician and musicologist Hans Cousto developed these.ġst ROOT/Muladhara/BASE- 194.18 Hz. It is related to instinct, security, survival and also to basic human potentiality. The physical plane is more concentrated, crystallised in definite form, cognitive and revolves around the 5 human senses and various parts of our physical body like the tissues, fluids, bones, organs, etc. In comparison, it is unlike the Harmonic Spectrum Set, which is tuned to the Pythagorean Scale (also known as the Just Scale) and is more in touch with the physical plane of existence, working on a more physical level. These tuning forks prepare pathways to a Cosmic Universal understanding of Life and our Soul's infinite relationship to it. This self is eternal, not noticeable and approachable through layers, ladders, gateways and manifold levels of energy. This links them to our cosmic multi-dimensional selves. The planetary cycle of the solar system is used to arrive at accurate formulae upon which these tuning forks have been created. They also work on pathways as well as other gateways of energy. They work more on the cosmic multi-dimensions of our chakras, our not-noticeable bodies or subtle parts. It is based on the mathematical rotation of the planets around our Sun.These forks are NOT based on a musical scale. The Chakra Set is a set of Tuning Forks that can be used with the chakra system. Rotating vortices of subtle matter, they are considered the focal points for the reception and transmission of energies. The Chakras are said to be "force centers" or whorls of energy permeating, from a point on the physical body, the layers of the subtle bodies in an ever-increasing fan-shaped formation (the fans make the shape of a love heart). Set of 7 weighted tuning forks, one for each chakra

90 day work plan template3/18/2024 Here are a few of the benefits of creating one: 1. The organization can then use the plan to judge the potential candidate for suitability within the role, department or team. When a candidate writes a good plan, they demonstrate competency, while potentially impressing hiring managers. The same template can be helpful to set actionable goals and achieve them in regards to a new project that you are working on.Ī 30-60-90 day plan is a helpful tool for both the candidate and the organization. While it is most commonly used for those who are beginning new positions, it can also be used to work on a new project. This plan gives insight into how a new hire plans to fulfill the goals of their new role, their understanding of various processes and how they tackle challenges. Many hiring managers want to see that their new hires are serious about their jobs and career. Regular level employees can show the value that they will bring to the team, and higher level employees can demonstrate how their leadership will create positive effects within their team or department. No matter the level of the role, a strong 30-60-90 day plan can be an asset during the interview process. It demonstrates what you will bring to the job, highlights your seriousness about the position, and shows that your goals dovetail with those of the company. Best knot tying website3/18/2024 "This app truly is worth much more than I paid for it. Great knowledge base for children, especially those interested in boating, hiking, climbing. I give it my highest recommendation without reservation. I would have loved this App when I was going to Boy Scouts and as a sailing instructor at summer camp. With this, it is super easy to review the knots and learn them at my own pace. People have demonstrated knots to me, only for me to forget how to do them later. "As a lifelong sailor, knots are integral to seamanship and this App is absolutely magical in showing how to tie the knots. This app actually helped me learn and do something useful for once and I never said that about any app before this." It is a great learning opportunity to master some of the best knots out there. Please do yourself a favor and get this app. I don't have to say anymore about what it can do, or how great it is, as many users/reviewers have already stated it. Knots 3D blows me away! Its ease of use and its presentation immediately persuaded me to give it a 5 star review after only a few minutes of use. Make three loops minimum to ensure a more secure hold."Let me just say this. If you spend a lot of time outdoors, the Timber Hitch is a simple knot for hauling a log or bunches of branches as well as hauling away large objects. It’s easy to tie and remove but will come apart if tension is not maintained in the rope. Watch this video to see how to tie a Clove Hitch: When you tighten this knot, you must pull both ends lengthwise or it won’t be secure. They’re great for a temporary hold, e.g., attach a rope to a post or a linen to a mooring buoy. Watch this video to see how to tie the common Bowline:Įasy to tie and untie, the Clove Hitch is a good binding knot when you’re in a rush. Bowlines are secure and used when you need to pull or rescue someone, or tie a line around yourself and a tree or other object. This fixed knot won’t slip, regardless of the load applied. When you need a non-slip loop at the end of a line, you go with a classic bowline. Watch this video to see how to tie the Sheet Bend Knot: There’s also a Double Sheet Bend which takes an extra coil around the standing loop for better security (especially with plastic rope) A sheet bend could be used to attach two lines together to make a longer line or for securing a critical load in a vehicle. In addition, it’s reliable when joining two ropes of different thickness, size, or material. However, in this case, the knot can be used for heavy loads and won’t slip under heavy tension. Like a square knot, a sheet bend joins two ropes. Watch this video to see how to tie a Taut-Line Hitch: A common use might be setting up a hammock or securing a load to a car to easily adjust the binding’s tightness. However, the loop formed using a taut-line hitch will not slip if put under tension. Somewhat similar to two half hitches, the taut-line hitch is also an adjustable loop-knot hitch that can be tied around bars or poles. Watch this video to see how to tie Two Half Hitches: However, this hitch also isn’t for heavy loads. Once tied, the knot formed by two half-hitches can move along the rope, allowing the loop to become larger or smaller. This knot is also used to secure an object to trees, loops, or poles. It’s for a quick temporary use, not long-term. Watch video to see how to tie the Square Knot:Ī hitch is used to tie a rope around an object (such as a tree) and back to itself. The rope will not hold under heavy strain. However, it’s for light use, not heavy use, such as tying scarves, package parcels, and so forth. Square KnotĪ square knot is a quick and simple way to join two ropes together. The knot illustrations below may seem a bit intimidating at first, but once you know the vocabulary and practice a few times, we’re sure you’ll be able to get it! Note: Illustrations by Lars Poyansky. The standing end (or standing part) of a rope is the end not involved in making a knot. The working end of a rope is the end being used to make a knot. The place at which two or more loops bend is the elbow. The place at which two parts of a rope meet in a loop is the crossing point.A bight becomes a loop when two parts of a rope cross. The bight is any part of a rope between the ends or the curved section of a rope in a knot.

What spiders make webs on the ground3/18/2024 Here is a detailed description of what grass spiders typically look like: Grass spiders, belonging to the genus Agelenopsis, exhibit several physical characteristics that help distinguish them from other spider species. Understanding their characteristics and behavior can help reduce unnecessary fear and misconceptions about these beneficial arachnids. While not aggressive towards humans, they are valuable predators of insects and play a crucial role in ecosystem health. Grass spiders are a group of arachnids known for their funnel-shaped webs, preferring grassy habitats where they construct these webs to catch prey. Key features include their distinctive webs and the presence of a conspicuous midline on their cephalothorax.Įcological Importance: Grass spiders play a role in controlling insect populations, helping to maintain ecological balance in their habitats. Identification: Identifying grass spiders can be challenging due to their similarity to other spider species. They are more likely to retreat into their funnel-shaped webs when they perceive a threat than to bite. The young spiders disperse by ballooning, releasing silk threads into the wind to be carried to new locations.īehavior: Grass spiders are generally not aggressive towards humans and are not considered medically significant. After mating, the female lays her eggs in a silk sac, which she guards until the spiderlings hatch. Reproduction: Mating in grass spiders typically occurs during the spring or early summer. They are effective predators, using their silk to immobilize and subdue their prey. When vibrations signal the presence of prey, they quickly emerge to immobilize and capture it.ĭiet: Grass spiders primarily feed on insects and other small arthropods that become ensnared in their webs. The spider hides inside the retreat and waits for prey to wander onto the web. They create a flat sheet-like web with a tubular retreat or funnel at one end. Web Construction: Grass spiders are renowned for their unique web-building behavior. They construct their funnel-shaped webs near the ground, typically attached to grass or low vegetation. They prefer open spaces such as meadows, fields, gardens, and forest edges. Habitat: These spiders are often found in grassy and shrubby areas, as their name suggests. They have two prominent spinnerets at the rear of their abdomen, which they use to create silk for web-building. Physical Characteristics: Grass spiders typically have a slender body and long legs, which can range in color from light brown to gray or even slightly yellow. Here is a comprehensive overview of grass spiders: They are commonly found in North America and are known for their intricate funnel-shaped webs, which they use for hunting. Grass spiders, scientifically known as the genus "Agelenopsis," are a group of spiders that belong to the family Agelenidae.

Pole barn rafter span table3/18/2024 Typically in a triangular shape, these pieces of pole barn framing are responsible for the pitch of the roof. Trusses are the pieces of lumber or steel that make up the framing for the roof. Girts typically come in sizes of 2×4 or 2×6 and are nailed to the post. Girts are the pieces of lumber that span across the side of the pole barn framing and are laid horizontally and installed to the post perpendicular. Bigger posts are used when buildings are larger and need more strength. The posts of a pole barn are comprised of pressure-treated wood that is typically anywhere from 4×4 to 8×8 in size. Pole barns can also be set on concrete pads with the help of brackets. A hole is dug approximately 4 feet deep and the post is placed into the hole, secured by layers of concrete and dirt or gravel. The footing of a pole barn is crucial for its structural stability, this is the base that will support the entire building. Check out our article on pole barn ideas! Pole barn framing components Pole barn framing is typically used for a multitude of purposes from hay barns to garages. Unlike a conventional stick frame building, pole barn framing doesn’t require a basement or a foundation, you just need to bury the posts and set them with concrete. Pole barn framing is a type of building framing that consists of a building supported by posts or poles that are buried into the ground.

“We want to facilitate carbon capture companies, so we’re building the CO2 sinks here and operating a plug and play model. Plenty of companies are working on direct capture of emissions, be they at the point of emission or elsewhere, but once they have a couple million tons of CO2, it’s not obvious what to do next. So 44.01 is partnering with Climeworks and other carbon capture companies to provide an end point for their CO2 sequestration efforts.Īs ExxonMobil asks for handouts, startups get to work on carbon capture and sequestration The atmosphere is full of it, sure, but it’s not trivial to capture and compress enough to mineralize at industrial scales. “It’s similar to how they drill and explore, so there’s a lot of existing infrastructure for this,” he said, “but rather than pulling the hydrocarbon out, we’re pumping it back in.” Other mineralization efforts have broken ground on the concept, so to speak, such as a basalt-injection scheme up in Iceland, so it isn’t without precedent. It sounds like a lot to build up, but Hasan points out that a lot of this is already done by the oil industry, which as you might guess is fairly ubiquitous in the region. To that end Hasan said the company is working hard at the logistics side to create a biodiesel-based supply line (with Wakud) to truck in the raw material and power the machines at night, while solar would offset that fuel cost at night. Second is achieving this without negating the entire endeavor by having giant trucks and heavy machinery pumping out new CO2 as fast as they can pump in the old stuff. Importantly, there’s no catalyst or toxic additive, it’s just fizzy water, and if some were to leak or escape, it’s just a puff of CO2, like what you get when you open a bottle of soda. The holes would maximize surface area, and highly carbonated water would be pumped in cyclically until the drilled peridotite is saturated. That’s broadly speaking the plan proposed by Hasan and, actually, both Kelemen and Matter, who make up the startup’s “scientific committee.” 44.01 (the molecular weight of carbon dioxide, if you were wondering) aims to accomplish mineralization economically and safely with a few novel ideas. If this natural process, called carbon mineralization, could be harnessed, accelerated and applied inexpensively on a huge scale - admittedly some very big “ifs” - it could help fight climate change. As the Times’ Henry Fountain wrote at the time: Hasan, born into a family of environmentalists, looked into it and found that, amazingly, the problem and the solution were literally right next to each other: the country’s mountains of peridotite, which theoretically could hold billions of tons of CO2.Īround that time, in fact, The New York Times ran a photo essay about Oman’s potential miracle mineral, highlighting the research of Peter Kelemen and Juerg Matter into its potential. Talal Hasan was working in Oman’s sovereign investment arm when he read about the country’s coast having the largest “dead zone” in the world, a major contributor to which was CO2 emissions being absorbed by the sea and gathering there. Peridotite is normally found miles below sea level, but on the easternmost tip of the Arabian peninsula, specifically the northern coast of Oman, tectonic action has raised hundreds of square miles of the stuff to the surface. In fact this has occurred at enormous scales throughout history, as witnessed by large streaks of calcite piercing peridotite deposits. A naturally occurring stone called peridotite reacts with the gas and water to produce calcite, another common and harmless mineral. The process of mineralizing CO2 is well known among geologists and climate scientists. One promising approach turns the gas into an ordinary mineral through entirely natural processes 44.01 hopes to perform this process at scale using vast deposits of precursor materials and a $5 million seed round to get the ball rolling. Reducing global greenhouse gas emissions is an important goal, but another challenge awaits: lowering the levels of CO2 and other substances already in the atmosphere.
